After winning the title in 2016, Kyrie left the team a year later. There were rumors of a heavy rift between the two stars. But all seemed good until 2020 when Kyrie took another shot at LeBron. And from that point on, it has been rumored that they are not close anymore.
But today, LeBron James posted a story that can make Cavs fans tear up. The league had a post about Kyrie’s 57 points which happened to be today. LeBron posted that with a message on his Instagram story.

LeBron posted the story with a quote saying, “And I had the best seat in the house to watch his greatness.” James posted the story referring to a game against the San Antonio Spurs seven years ago. Kyrie scored 57 points and also hit the game-tying three and he was the reason the Cavs won that day. This message will surely bring back memories for the Cavs fans.

In 2015, Kyrie had emerged as a budding superstar while LeBron had just returned to the Cavs from the Miami Heat. He was coming off two championships in four finals run. So obviously, there was a lot of pressure on Kyrie to step up to LeBron’s level. He struggled in the start but managed to get used to playing with LeBron. An injury to Kyrie hampered their run in the first year.

However, in their second year, the duo stepped up, and the Cavs were finally able to end their drought. Kyrie left next year to join the Boston Celtics because he wanted to be the focal point of a team. That didn’t work out as he left the Celtics to join the Brooklyn Nets in 2 years.
