“Who’s Their Leader?” Patrick Beverley says as he compares LeBron James to…
Patrick Beverley of the Minnesota Timberwolves is making all the headlines currently. After his comments on Chris Paul and the Phoenix Suns went viral, he sparked another debate. This time it is regarding LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers.
According to Beverly, the Lakers can make the Western Conference finals in case he joins the team. Moreover, he revealed he can be the leader LeBron lacks in the Lakers.
The Los Angeles Lakers had one of the worst seasons in franchise history. Despite LeBron James trying his best to keep the playoffs hopes for his team alive, it was all in vain.
Interestingly enough, Patrick Beverley of the Minnesota Timberwolves has offered to help the Lakers. The reason being? He aspires to become the leader LeBron looks up to during matches.

Beverly said, “No discredit to LeBron James, but he’s doing so much. Who’s their leader? Who’s telling LeBron, ‘Hey LeBron, you gotta be low man, bro. That ain’t your help out. You gotta X-out.’ No one’s telling him that. Not on a consistent basis. I’m gonna tell everyone that because I want to win.”

With this comment, Beverly has drawn a lot of flak towards himself. Especially considering he is offering to lead someone as great as LeBron James himself.
Although Beverly’s achievements on the court cannot be undermined, it is not remotely close to what LeBron has achieved in his 19 years in the NBA.
Interestingly enough, apart from the prospect of Beverly leading James, he invited the 4 time NBA champion to Minnesota. The reason behind this is the fact that taxes are lower in Minnesota! Considering LeBron’s huge net worth, paying taxes does not seem to be a huge problem for him.
This season, Beverly averaged 9.2 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 4.6 assists. On the other hand, LeBron averaged 30.3 points, 8.2 rebounds, and 6.2 assists for the 2021-22 season.
