Rafael Nadal is a name etched permanently in the history books now. The 36-year-old tennis player from Spain has achieved everything that’s up for grabs. While playing in the recently concluded French Open 2022, the 22-time Grand Slam champion showed pure class.
Although it was a record 14th title for the Spaniard, what makes it more special is the situation it came in. At an age of 36, playing with a pestering foot injury, he won against some of the finest tennis players. After a rigorous clay season, the 14-time French Open champion is finally off on a much-needed vacation.
After putting his body through a lot of hard work and pain, the 36-year-old has finally taken a much-needed vacation break. Recently, the 20-time Grand Slam champion posted pictures from his vacation. In the picture, Nadal is standing with his family and friends in front of a beautiful backdrop from Mallorca Islas.
Sharing the picture on his Instagram account, Nadal wrote in the caption,
“Good morning… have a nice Sunday, with family and friends always special.”
While the fans are still worried about his injury, it was nice to see the legend relaxing after a strenuous tournament.
The 36-year-old admitted to playing with foot-numbing injections in the press conference after winning the French Open. However, he wasted little time and immediately started the treatment of his foot in Barcelona.

Although the 22-time Grand Slam champion made it very clear that he will not go back to using anesthetics and will play only if the new treatment works. Now that the treatment is done, fans are eagerly waiting for an announcement from the French Open champion.
Meanwhile, Rafael Nadal‘s uncle Toni has shared good news as he believes his nephew will be ready just on time for the grass court Grand Slam. Also, he updated that the 36-year-old will start his preparations in a couple of days as he feels better than Paris now. Notably, the Spaniard will chase his first Wimbledon title since 2010.
