Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James has nothing but respect and appreciation for baseball icon Jackie Robinson, who paved the way for African-American athletes to play in the major league.

James was the executive producer of the documentary “After Jackie” that was released on Saturday, and with the show now available to watch via History Channel, the Lakers star couldn’t help but reflect on the major impact of Robinson not only in baseball but in all of American sports.

“Jackie Robinson changed the game ON and OFF the field forever!! He defined what being more than an athlete is about,” the Lakers forward wrote on Twitter.
