Canal+ has released a documentary called ‘La Methode’ which follows the career of former Ferrari boss Jean Todt.
Part of the film is dedicated to Formula 1 legend Michael Schumacher, who maintained a special relationship with Todt.
The former driver’s family has not revealed much about his health after his serious skiing accident back in December 2013.
“He is still fighting and we only hope that his health condition improves,” said Todt, who also revealed that he sometimes watches F1 races with Schumacher.
Schumacher’s wife Corinna participated in the documentary and talked about how her husband’s move to Scuderia Ferrari came about.

The legendary driver spent 11 season at the Italian team after joining them back in 1996. He had previously excelled at Benetton, with whom he won two titles in 1994 and 1995.
“We were sitting in the garden, when Michael asked me what I thought about the possibility of signing for Ferrari,” Corinna revealed.
“I told him that if he really had the chance to go there, it’s something he should do. He had a unique opportunity that he should not miss.
“Michael knows very well who he can trust. I think he already had agreed with Jean, because he had previously talked about wanting to work with him.”
Todt went on to wish that Schumacher could take part in the documentary to explain how he decided to move to Ferrari.
“It would be nice if Michael told the whole story, because I wasn’t always there either,” Todt said.
“Michael is still part of my life, and that won’t change no matter what. The question today is how to be together and how I can help him and his family.”
Corinna stressed that Todt was close to the family when they needed the help of friends after Schumacher’s accident.

“Being Michael’s friend in good times is great fun, but when things change and suddenly someone can’t do much anymore, you need help, or when it’s a vacation and something bad happens, you really see who your friend is,” she noted.
“And Jean is certainly one of those few people. It’s good for Michael to know that Jean is there if we have any doubts.
“When you know that someone who can do everything for you and thinks about you is there, it’s a real gift.”
