Preparations are in full swing for Patrick Mahomes and his Kanas City Chiefs as they gears up for the Super Bowl LVII on Sunday.
In a recent interview ahead of the game the quarterback, who tied the knot with Brittany Matthews last March in Hawaii, was asked what he had planned for Valentines Day this coming February 14th.
The player was caught by surprise, and with a touch of embarrassment, admitted that he had completely forgotten about it.

“I didn’t even notice it was coming up, so don’t tell her I said that but I’ll make sure I have some plans now,” said Mahomes . “I don’t know when it is, I know it’s February 14, but I don’t know what day of the week [it is]. I’ll make sure to make plans. I appreciate you reminding me.”
The reporter may well have saved Mahomes blushes- given it’s his first Valentine’s Day as a married man, it wouldn’t have been a good one to forget!
Given everything that’s going on with Mahomes and his hectic week of preparations ahead of the game, the quarterback can’t be blamed for forgetting about the romantic occasion. He will need to be fully focused on the game if he and his team are to be victorious this coming Sunday.
