The father of NBA stars Stephen and Seth Curry has opened up about his relationship with his sons and the advice that he gives them on a regular basis.
Dell Curry is incredibly proud of what his two sons are currently achieving bit he refuses to let them rest on their laurels.
“I watch all their games, whether live or taped, and I try to check in with them every week,” Dell tells PEOPLE.
Steph plays for the Golden State Warriors who are the defending champions whilst Seth is part of the Brooklyn Nets. Both teams have lost their first two games this postseason but Dell chooses not to interfere too much when their teams are struggling.

“They’re grown men, they’ve been in the league long enough to know how this league is – you can’t get too high or too low,” he says.
Dell is a play-by-play announcer for the Charlotte Hornets and he said that he and his sons ‘talk about golf and grandkids more than basketball’ because they ‘have enough basketball in their ears.’
“That’s the fun part about being a dad and a fan and knowing what they’re going through as far as being an NBA player. Sometimes, you just need to talk about everything but basketball when you’re having a rough patch,” Dell says.
Golf is a part of life for the Curry family when they are able to all get together at once. He explained how they are able to relax and unwind whilst playing golf without focusing on basketball.
“The golf course is where they initiate the most [trash talk] with their dad when we’re out there. That’s where we have the most fun,” Dell explained.
