Ross Chastain has not been endearing himself to anyone in the 2023 NASCAR Cup Series. The latest driver to be annoyed at his antics is none other than 2021 Cup Series champion Kyle Larson. As it happened, Chastain bumped Brennan Poole into a spin, and he slid up the track, right in the path of Larson. This hampered Larson’s race at Dover, while Chastain went on to finish 2nd.
Frustrated by the Trackhouse Racing driver’s actions, Larson expressed his annoyance on the team radio. He was heard saying, “What a f***ing idiot. Flat-out wrecked him. We are in the first stage.”
Apart from Kyle Larson, another Hendrick Motorsports driver, Alex Bowman decided to share his opinion on the matter. However, he decided to keep his message a bit cryptic and disguised in a song.
Think oops I did it again is the theme of the day
— Alex Bowman (@Alex_Bowman) May 1, 2023
Bowman is currently out of action after injuring himself in a sprint car race. So he was able to catch the race from the comfort of his own home while recovering. According to him, teammate Kyle Larson was in excellent form and was practically a rocket.
On the other end of the scale, he observed that Chastain was up to his usual antics. From there, Bowman went on to rake the Trackhouse Racing driver over the coals.

According to some reports, the driver will likely be back on track after three races. This also included the recently concluded race at Dover Motor Speedway. So in the worst-case scenario, he would miss the coming race at Kansas and the following race at the Darlington Raceway. If all goes well, Bowman could return to the Cup Series arena in time for the NASCAR All-Star race at the North Wilkesboro Speedway.
